Adherent Invasive E. coli (AIEC): Past, Present, and Future
It has been 25 years since the discovery of Adherent Invasive E.coli (AIEC) associated with Crohn’s disease and intestinal inflammation across species.
This conference will celebrate the 25th anniversary of AIEC by bringing together leading researchers from all corners of the globe to present and discuss the many facets of AIEC.
The agenda ranges from how to define an AIEC, disease associations, mechanistic insights into how AIEC proliferates and incites inflammation and neoplasia, to strategies to combat AIEC. With multiple therapeutic trials targeting AIEC currently in progress, the field has seen rapid progress from the bench to bedside and is an excellent example of precision medicine.
Abstracts will be presented in oral and poster form. Trainees will have subsidized registration and we will recognize leading abstracts.
The venue is at the Verizon Executive Education Center at Cornell Tech on Roosevelt Island.
