Sheila Olmstead: Does Drought Reduce Economic Activity?

Sheila Olmstead is the Dean Rusk Professor at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, University of Texas at Austin, a University Fellow at Resources for the Future, and a Senior Fellow at the Property and Environment Research Center. Olmstead is a member of the EPA’s Science Advisory Board and President-Elect of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. She formerly served as Senior Economist for Energy and Environment at the President’s Council of Economic Advisers.

Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability and Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy welcome Sheila Olmstead as a 2024 Distinguished Speaker in Sustainability.
