MAE Colloquium: Yuri Bazilevs (Brown)

Bio:
Yuri Bazilevs is the E. Paul Sorensen Chair in the School of Engineering at Brown University. He was previously a full professor and vice chair in the Structural Engineering Department, and an adjunct full professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department in the Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD. He joined UCSD as an assistant professor in July 2008, was promoted to associate professor with tenure in July 2012, and, subsequently, to full professor in July 2014. Yuri completed his Ph.D. and postdoc training, in 2006 and 2008, respectively, at UT Austin’s Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences.
