Advance Climate Justice Policy: Help Shape New York’s Cap-and-Invest Program

Sameer Ranade, NYSERDA Senior Advisor for Climate Justice, will speak to the Cornell community and invite public engagement with our nation’s most transformative climate justice policies: New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA), especially the New York Cap and Invest (NYCI) program. All members of campus are invited to learn about the policy, share feedback on how to meaningfully prioritize climate justice communities, and learn how to submit public comments that will shape this policy going forward. This is a pivotal moment for public input to shape the future of climate policy. All campus and community members are warmly invited.

This event is being organized by Cornell on Fire with Climate Justice Cornell, Sunrise Movement Ithaca, Fossil Free Tompkins, the Campaign for Renewable Energy, and Mothers Out Front Tompkins.
