CBE Energy Seminar: Alex Yu Ph.D. ’14 (Factorial Energy)

Bio:
Alex Yu Ph.D. ’14 has extensive experience as a founder and CEO. Alex founded Lionano in 2013 and served as CEO until 2019. In 2019, they founded Lionano SE Inc. and held the position of CEO until 2020. Currently, Alex is the founder and CTO of Factorial Energy since May 2022, and they also served as the founder and President of the company from April 2020 until May 2022.

Alex Yu completed a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at Xiamen University. After that, they pursued a Completion of Thesis in Photochemistry at Uppsala University. Subsequently, Alex went on to earn a Ph.D. in chemistry from Cornell University. In 2013, they also obtained the Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Cornell University.
