CBE Seminar: Matthew Liberatore (Trine)

Bio:
Matthew Liberatore is a professor and department chair in the McKetta Department of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering at Trine University with interests in engineering education and rheology. He joined the Trine faculty in summer 2024, after previously serving as a professor at the University of Toledo and Colorado School of Mines.

His research includes engineering new materials by understanding their changes under flow, rheology measurements in parallel with other techniques (high pressure, light scattering, high shear, controlled humidity) on a range of polymer, colloid, and surfactant systems, active and self-directed learning tools, and reverse engineering of YouTube videos.

Prof. Liberatore received his B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
