PhenoSight – imaging the plants in BTI’s High-throughput Plant Phenotyping Facility
In the era of big data and machine learning, high-throughput plant phenotyping generates vast amounts of data that can be analyzed using advanced computational methods. This data-driven approach allows researchers to uncover previously unexplored patterns, make predictions, and develop new insights into plant physiology and genetics. The BTI’s High-throughput Plant Phenotyping Facility – PhenoSight – is a suite of imaging tools for studying plant growth, stress response, and development. Our facilities include a conveyor-belt-based high-throughput imaging system, a multi-spectral imaging system, and a time-lapse imaging system. Here, we would like to introduce the CIDA community to the system’s capacities based on a few user examples, and explore future collaborations within CIDA.
