Cover Crop Field Day -Ithaca

Join members of Cornell’s New York Soil Health Team, Cayuga and Tompkins Soil and Water Districts, and King’s AgriSeeds/Cayuga Ag Enterprises to explore an array of summer and winter cover crops. This program is free and does not require registration.

Summer and Winter Cover Crop Species and Mixtures Demo: We have expanded our demonstration to 60 cover crop plots. Plants will be dug up for root comparison, featuring summer cover crops (planted in July) and winter cover crops (planted in late August). Single species and multi-species mixes will be showcased. Presented by Matt Ryan, Kristen Loria, Joseph Amsili, Ginny Moore, Cornell, Rod Porter, King’s AgriSeeds, and more.Designing Cover Crop Mixtures for Intended Goals: Learn the art of crafting cover crop mixes to achieve specific goals.
