EAS Seminar: Cristi Proistosescu (Illinois)

Bio:
Cristi Proistosescu is an assistant professor in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences and the Department of Geology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He received his Ph.D. in Earth and planetary sciences from Harvard University in 2017. He earned his B.A. in physics from Princeton University in 2009.

Prof. Proistosescu’s research focuses on coupled atmosphere-ocean dynamics, climate sensitivity, clouds and radiative feedbacks, stochastic climate variability & climate extremes, palaeoclimate, and statistical inference and machine learning in earth sciences.
