Ezra’s Round Table / Systems Seminar: Bolun Xu (Columbia)

Bio:
Bolun Xu joined Columbia’s Department of Earth and Environmental Engineering as an assistant professor in January 2020. He focuses on sustainable energy systems and works towards a reliable and economic decarbonization in the energy sector. His research interests are on energy system planning and operation, and electricity market design for renewable and distributed energy resources.

Professor Xu received his B.S. from Shanghai Jiaotong University, M.S. from ETH Zurich, and Ph.D. from University of Washington Seattle, all in electrical engineering. Prior to Columbia, he was a postdoc associate at MIT Energy Initiative and Lab for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
