MAE Colloquium: Prashant Purohit (UPenn)

Bio:
Prashant Purohit is professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania. He got his Ph.D. at Caltech in 2002 and after a few years of postdoctoral work he joined the faculty at Penn in 2006. His interests are in phase transitions, statistical and continuum mechanics and biophysics. His current research is focused on the mechanics and fracture of blood clots.
