Leane Sinicki ’85 built an accomplished 35-year career with Corning Incorporated, Rogers Corporation, and Novanta Corporation, achieving increasing levels of responsibility across a variety of functions to include applications engineering, manufacturing management, strategic marketing, product management, and general management. Her strong drive for creating value-add business strategies, building and developing diverse teams while executing with excellence were core to her success.
As Novanta Group President, Precision Motion, Leane led the transformation of an outdated $30M business through significant change management and acquisition cultivation to create a $300M engineered solutions platform serving the high-growth surgical robotics, automation warehousing, and semiconductor lithography markets. The global team grew to 500 people across the US, UK, Spain, Germany, Japan, and China with the completion of five acquisitions.
Leane attended Cornell University, earning a B.S. in mechanical engineering (Class of ‘85) and Harvard Business School (Class of ‘92) earning an MBA. Leane is also a class of ‘97 inductee to the Cornell Athletics Hall of Fame for field hockey and lacrosse.
Leane is now serving the Cornell community through the COMPASS Program acting as a mentor for the last two semesters. She also continues to pursue her passions for fitness & health and adventure travel.
