MSE Seminar Series: Paul McIntyre (Stanford)
Bio:
Paul McIntyre received a B.A.Sc. in metals and materials engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1988 and a Sc.D. in ceramics from MIT in 1993. He was a postdoctoral fellow at MIT and Los Alamos National Laboratory before joining Texas Instruments, Inc. After leaving Texas Instruments, Paul joined Stanford University as an Assistant Professor in 1997.
Currently, Paul McIntyre serves as the Director of the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory at SLAC, is a Senior Fellow at the Precourt Institute for Energy, and is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering. Previously, he has served Department Chair of Materials Science and Engineering and as Deputy Director and then Director of the Geballe Laboratory for Advanced Materials (GLAM). He is also a Principal Editor of MRS Communications.
