Soft Matter Seminar: Andrew Goodwin (Oxford)

Bio: Andrew Goodwin is a professor of materials chemistry at the University of Oxford. He was born in Australia and studied at the Universities of Sydney and Cambridge. He leads a diverse and creative research group based in the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory.

Research within the Goodwin Group has been recognized by the RSC’s Harrison-Meldola, Marlow, Corday-Morgan and Peter Day prizes.

Andrew was the inaugural UK Blavatnik Laureate in Chemistry and has held both Starting and Advanced Grants of the ERC.

He serves in a senior advisory capacity to a range of Central Facilities and Research Agencies, including the Leverhulme Trust (UK) and the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (DE).
