Soft Matter Seminar: Dan Luo (Cornell BEE)

Bio:
Dan Luo is a professor in the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University. He works with DNA and RNA as both generic and genetic materials.

Prof. Luo is currently also a faculty member in Nanobiotechnology Center, Cornell Center for Materials Research, Kavli Institute for Nanoscale Science, Biomedical Engineering and New Life Science Initiatives at Cornell. Luo obtained his B.S. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and his Ph.D. in 1997 from The Ohio State University in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology. After a postdoctoral training in the R.F. Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell, he joined Cornell faculty in 2001.
