Soft Matter Seminar: Timo Betz (Georg-August)

Bio:
Timo Betz is a professor at the Third Institute of Physics – Biophysics at the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany. He earned his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Leipzig and his bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Texas at Austin.

The Betz lab aims to decipher the fundamental physical processes leading to stability and robustness despite the complexity and highly non-equilibrium and non-linear nature of any living system. They hope to discover new physics in observing and describing the complexity of the living world.
